Dora A. Fields Carby

Dora A. Carby, age 95, of Elizabethtown, KY, formerly of Hart County, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at Elizabethtown Nursing Rehab in Elizabethtown, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Asa Fields and the late Fannie Priddy Fields. She is the wife of the late Maurice Carby. She is survived by one daughter: Beverly Knight (Donald), Upton, KY; son-in-law: Justin McGrew, Clarkson, KY; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Frankie and Barry Carby, one daughter, Phyllis McGrew, a great grandchild, Deanna Anstead Barton, two sisters and four brothers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CT, Thursday, February 7, 2013, Bro. Clifford Ward and Bro. Carlon Fields officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, Upton, KY.
