Dennie Gipson

Dennie Gipson, age 65, of Mammoth Cave, KY passed away at 5:46 PM Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at his residence in Mammoth Cave, KY. The Illinois native was born on September 2, 1942. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Jock United Baptist Church in Bee Spring, KY. He was the son of the late Vertis Gipson and the late Candis (Decker) Johnson. He was raised by his grandparents: Ida and Tommy Decker who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Arnetta (Meredith) Gipson of Mammoth Cave, KY; Six Daughters: Sandra Higdon (Doug) of Leitchfiled, KY; Patricia Hendricks (Mike) of Franklin, KY; Tammy Childress (Ryan) of Cub Run, KY; Robin Gipson and her companion Wesley Brooks of Richardsville, KY; Rhonda Decker of Bowling Green, KY; & Laura Davis (Chris) of Brownsville, KY; One Sister: Jean Duncan of Louisville, KY; One Brother: Floyd Gipson of Bee Spring, KY; Two Half-Sisters: Mary White of Louisville, KY; & Laura Claycomb of Brownsville, KY. He is also survived by 10 grandchilren, 3 great-grandchildren, & 4 step-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY. The family will receive friends at Jock United Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2007; 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2007 and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Funeral service will be at the church at 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 29, 2007 with Bro. Leland Childress & Bro. Larry Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Jock Cemetery.
