David R. Prather

David R. Prather, age 62, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. David was a mechanic and drove for the amish.

He was preceded in death by his father, James O. Prather Sr. and his mother, Nelda Kerr Prather; his brothers, James O., Everett Leon, Jackie Dale, and Richard Lee Prather; his sisters, Sandy Johnson and Minnie Della Prather.

He is survived by his wife; Debra Spencer-Prather; his daughter, LeAnna R. Prather of Louisburg, KY; his son, Joshua R. Prather and his wife Lisa of Munfordville, KY;  his step-daughter, Michelle Kurtz and her husband David of Munfordville, KY; one grandson, Kristian Noah Prather; two brothers, Donald Lee Prather and his wife Linda of Napoleon, OH, and Roy Prather and his wife Sharon of Louisville, KY; his sister, Lana Carroll and her husband Harold of Munfordville, KY; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM CT on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 and again on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM CT at Brooks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Joel Childress officiating. Burial will follow at Cub Run Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Cub Run, KY.
