David Wayne Howard

David Wayne Howard, age 63, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the University of Louisville Hospital. David was employed by Hart County Schools as a custodian at Munfordville and Memorial Elementary Schools until his illness forced his retirement. David was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Horse Cave, KY and a big “jokester” who loved life to the fullest. ”He always did things his way!”

He was the son of the late George D. Howard and Anna Curry Howard, Munfordville, KY. 

David was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Howard, his grandparents, Rollo and Mae Howard and Rollin Curry and Carrie L. Brown, and brother-in-law, Rookie Walker. 

Along with his mother, David is survived by four sisters, Teresa Howard Carter, Munfordville, KY, Pamela Walker, Glasgow, KY, Tonya Howard, Glasgow, KY, and Felica Howard Burns and Scott, Louisville, KY; two brothers, Ronnie and Vanessa Howard, Munfordville, KY and Michael and Shelby Howard, Glasgow, KY; four nieces, Syntonia and Mark Day, Bowling Green, KY, Latoya Howard, Munfordville, KY, Isabella and Gabrielle Rogers, Louisville,KY; four nephews, Michael and Tia Howard, Louisville, KY, Harold and Gloria Bethel, Tioga, North Dakota, Adam and Shelby Walker, Lagrange, KY, and Jacob Walker, Glasgow, KY; eleven great-nieces, Chesney, Addison, Cadee,Jaylah, Caydrain, Aubree, Jaleigh, Harleigh, Adlee, Hadlee, and Kambree; four great-nephews, GeVaughn, Bubby, Kashton, and Montez; step children, Jon, Amy, and Andy Blair; step-grandchildren, Penny and Markus. David is also survived by an aunt, four uncles, a host of cousins , and good friends, Tony Tobin and Joe Young.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-12:45 PM CT on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM CT at Horse Cave Guthrie Street Cemetery on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 with Rev. K.T. Ford and Rev. Chris Curry officiating. Burial will follow there.
