Dale Lee Griffin Sr.

Dale Lee Griffin, Sr., age 68, of Bonnieville, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at St. Joes Jessamine in Nicholasville, KY. He was a retired accountant from General Motors and a member of Munfordville First United Methodist Church. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was the son of the late LeRoy Griffin and the late Betty VanWagoner Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Griffin; one daughter, Laura Griffin, Bonnieville, KY; two sons, Dale Lee Griffin, Jr. and wife Mishanda, Bonnieville, KY, Matthew Griffin, Sandy Hook, KY; six grandchildren, Rebecca Bowles, Alyssa Griffin, Holly Sperry, Ashlyn Griffin, Sara Sperry, Connor Griffin; one great grandchild, Nevaeh O'Neal; one sister, Evelyn Kurgar, Brighton, MI; three brothers, Robert Griffin, Owosso, MI, James Griffin, Owosso, MI, Bruce Griffin, Florida. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by many comrades who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Brooks Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, October 3, 2014 at Munfordville First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 3, 2014 at Mufnordville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
