Courtney Lee Spradlin

Courtney Lee Spradlin, age 75, of Horse Cave, KY passed away at 11:02 PM CT Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave, KY. The Hart County native was born on November 9, 1932. He was a Army veteran, farmer, and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Maxie Sylvester Spradlin and the late Ollie Marie (Hogan) Spradlin. He is survived by his wife Wilma (Butler) Spradlin; Two Daughters: Neila Combs (William) of Glasgow, KY; & Karen Metcalfe (Jason) of Canmer, KY; One Son: Rodney Spradlin (Hilda) of Pig, KY; One Sister: Alene Goldsmith (Stanley) of Lawrenceburg, KY; One Brother: Goree "Hook" Spradlin (Bonnie) of Augusta, KY. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Amanda & Jacob Spradlin, Will & Ellen Metcalfe, & Abby Combs; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Edith Powell and a brother: Billy Spradlin. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Thursday, June 5, 2008; from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Friday, June 6, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Saturday, June 7, 2008. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT Saturday, June 7, 2008 with Bro. Hermon Wilkins; Bro. Robbie Ward; and Bro. Landon Hadley officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery in Munfordville, KY with military rites.
