Colonel Bailey Blair

Colonel Bailey Blair, age 70, of Elk Horn, KY formerly of Hart County, died Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was a farmer and carpenter and a member of Pine Grove Church in Liberty, KY. He was the son of the late Colonel R. Blair and Lillie Mae Blair. He is survived by his wife: Joan Blair; one step-daughter: Helen Fann of Scottsville; four step-sons: Samuel Trulock of Elkhorn, Paul Merriam of Shepherdsville, Edward Merriam of Louisville, Rodger Brown of Radcliff; one brother: Luke Blair, Canmer, KY; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a step son, Johann Merriam, several brothers and nephews Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2009 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2009. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2009, Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY.
