Chester L. Hayes

Exhortation Pastor Chester L. Hayes, age 72, of Hardyville, KY, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was a retired welder from Pan Olson and a member of Randolph Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Riley Hayes and the late Pearline Herford Hayes.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Brewer Hayes; two daughters, Lee Sonya LaRaviere-Steele, South Carolina, Jackie Hayes, Princeton, KY; one step daughter, Rose Marie Austin, Elizabethtown, KY; five sisters, Barbara Harris, Glasgow, KY, Alice Allen and husband Richard, Decatur, GA, Thelma Hayes, Stone Mountain, GA, Janet Hayes-Arnold, Stone Mountain, GA, Cheryl Hayes, Stone Mountain, GA; two brothers, Kenneth Hayes and wife Deborah, Georgia, Robert Hayes and wife LaTonya, Glasgow, KY; one brother-in-law, David Brewer, Canmer, KY; five sister-in-laws, Jessie Lee Barbour, Bertha Mae Brewer, May Agnes Booker, Lucille Cox, Patrica McBride; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Jackie Austin; two brothers, Charles and Amon Hayes and a sister, Carrie Thornton.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Randolph Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Randolph Baptist Church with Senior Pastor Bishop Dr. LaMark Carver officiating. Interment will be at Randolph Church Cemetery, Randolph, KY.
