Charles Lee Alexander

Charles Lee Alexander, age 78, of Horse Cave, KY passed away at 8:37 AM ET Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. The Hart Couty native was born on May 5, 1930. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bearwallow Baptist Church where he served as Head Trustee. He was the son of the late Ed Alexander and the late Maybelle (Bush) Alexander. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean Alexander; Five Daughters: Mary Sue Vesquez-Phares(Ronald) of Kellen, TX; Sherry A. Rice; Joyce Alexander; & Charlotte Alexander all of Glasgow, KY; Sherry Alexander of Horse Cave, KY; Four Step-Daughters: Phyllis Haskins of Glasgow, KY; Rebecca Haskins of Horse Cave, KY; Gracie Brown (Vince) of Munfordville, KY; & Lisa Haskins of Horse Cave, KY; Six Sons: Bobby Alexander (Drucilla); James "Cookie" Alexander (Vela) all of Glasgow, KY; Ronnie Alexander (Bertha) of Cave City, KY; George Ernest Alexander of Glasgow, KY; Thomas Alexander of Cincinnati, OH; & Charlie Alexander of Glasgow, KY; Eight Step-Sons: Harold Haskins (Wanda) of Horse Cave, KY; Jerry Haskins of New York; Eddie Wayne Haskins (Yvette) of Valdosta, GA; John Haskins of Cave City, KY; James Gary Haskins of Anchorage, AK; William Barbour of Park City, KY; Larry Barbour of Horse Cave, KY; & Billy Barbour (Felicia) of Park City, KY; Two Sisters: Madeline Austin of Cave City, KY & Edna Mae Curry of Horse Cave, KY. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, & other relatives & friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Billy Wayne Alexander; granddaughter: Lee'shaye Alexander; great-grandchild: Christopher Alexander; step-son: Alfred Barbour. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Wednesday, June 18, 2008 and at Bearwallow Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to time of service Thursday, June 19, 2008. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM CT Thursday, June 19, 2008 with Rev. Ronnie Bryant & Rev. William Fishback officiating. Interment will be at Bearwallow Cemetery in Horse Cave, KY.
