Carrie Frances Rowlett, who was called "Granny Carrie" age 88, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was a member of the Woodsonville Baptist Church where she joined at an early age. She worked as a seamstress at various factories, she was the prayer meeting leader, she sung in the Voices of Woodsonville Choir, She was the president of the Senior Choir since 1998. She loved all types of music, playing the piano, and her flowers. She was beautiful inside and out.
She was born February 15, 1936 to the late Roy Crenshaw and the late Audrey Bell Richardson Crenshaw.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Leroy and Willis Crenshaw; her one sister, Betty Lou Withrow, a brother-in-law, Frank Withrow, her son-in-law, Steve Wilson; a step-grandson, Antorio Porcha.
She is survived by her three children, Rev. W.K. Rowlett and his wife Diane, Glasgow, KY, Anita Wilson, Rowletts, KY, and Stacy Charles Rowlett, Rowletts, KY; eight grandchildren, Brian Keith Rowlett (Alayna), William Scott Neal and his wife Mahaley, and Lanita Audrey Neal (Jamie), Diandra McCallum, Raisha Wilson, Torrance Porcha, Megan Sublett, and Jacoby Shannon; nine great-grandchildren, Desmond, Amira, Dashawn, Braxton, Lillyahna, Izayah, Chase, Broc, Blake, and Bryson; one great-great-granddaughter, Delilah Grace Ann Neal; special friend and family, Brandy Stockton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.
The family will recieve friends from 5:00- 8:00 PM CT on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and again on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Woodsonville Baptist Church. Homegoing services will be held at 12:00 PM CT on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Woodsonville Baptist Church with Rev. W.K. Rowlett and Rev. K.T. Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens.
