Carolyn Smiley

Carolyn Smiley, age 73 of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was a Silver Saint member of Bearwallow Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower bed and spending time with her family and friends. She liked good food and fellowship with her church. 

She is the daughhter of the late Jeff Cleotus Reed and the late Mary Ailne Johnson Reed.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Katina Allen; her sisters, Edith Reed and Cledis Rhodes; a brother, Rev. Carl "Dolly" Reed; a nephew, Kevin Reed.

She is survived by her husband Larry Smiley, Hiseville, KY; a granddaughter, Kya Allen, Bowling Green, KY; a son-in-law, Darius Allen, Bowling Green, KY; step-children, Laronzo Smiley (Beth), Louisville, KY, Shawn Smiley and Tristan Smiley, Florida, Travis Smiley, Hiseville, KY; one niece, Tammy Reed, Horse Cave, KY; two nephews, Bo Reed, Horse Cave, KY, Marty Reed Rhodes (Terri), Rockford, IL; one uncle, Charlie Reed, Hardyville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM CT on Saturday, December 14, 2026 at Bearwallow Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CT on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Bearwallow Baptist Church with Rev. K.T. Ford and Rev. Shayne Stockton Officiating. Live Streming will be available on Brooks Funeral Home Facebook. Burial will follow at Bearwallow Baptist Church Cemetery. Brooks Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
