Betsy D (Childress) Philpott

Betsy D. Philpott, age 69, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at her home in Munfordville, KY. Mrs. Philpott was a Homemaker and was a member of Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Owen Childress and the late Ola Glass Childress
She is survived by her husband, Billy H. Philpott; two sons, Samuel Hatcher, Jr. and wife Donna, Cave City, KY and Nicholas Hatcher, Hardyville, KY; three sisters, Pearl Hayes, Brownsville, KY, Magdaline Meredith and husband Junior, Cave City, KY, Gertrude Avery, Ollie, KY; five brothers, Delona Childress and wife Lois, Daniel Childress, Tony Childress,Merrill Childress and wife Helen, Shelby Childress, all of Louiville, KY; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughers, Shavion Bagshaw and Teresa Hatcher; two brothers, Paul Glenn and David Childress; one sister, Rosemary Oller.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT, Wednesday, September 10, 2014, Bro. Raymond Hatcher officiating. Interment will be at Servant Valley Cemetery, Cave City, KY
