Bernie Stewart

Bernie Lee Stewart, age 93, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Medical Center at Bowling Green in Bowling Green, KY. He was a brick mason, a retired civil servant of Ft. Knox and a member of Woodsonville Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Arthur Stewart and the late Ora Stewart. He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Stewart, Lamarr Stewart, two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by two daughters, Brenda McGill, Elizabethtown, KY, Cassandra G. Jones , Louisville, KY; two sons, Ken Stewart, Sonora, KY, Bryan Stewart (Fe), Munfordville, KY; one step daughter, Shirley A. Hawkins, Louisville, KY; two step sons, Jerome T. Hawkins, Michigan, Rodney L. Hawkins, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Kendra Scott (William), Shonelle Price (Todd), Melissa Adkins (Brian); two great grandchildren, Teagan Price, Kennedy Price; one sister, America Simmons, Chicago, IL; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Monday, January 3, 2022 and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Curle and Rev. K.T. Ford officiating.

Interment will be at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens, Munfordville, KY.
