Beatrice Getolia Owens

Beatrice Getolia Owens, age 75, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was the daughter of the late Caleb Groce and the late Ima Smith Groce. She is survived by three daughters: Glenda Kinslow (Rodney), Cave City, KY, Alice Dooley (Dale), IN, Evelyn Followell (Orville Cyrus), IN; one son: Willis Black (Cindy), IN; four sisters: Pauline Caswell, IN, Juanita Haire, Horse Cave, KY, Wanda Poynter, Horse Cave, KY, Bonnie Meredith, Horse Cave, KY; five brothers: Charles Groce, Horse Cave, KY, Jackie Groce, Munfordville, KY, Roy Groce, Horse Cave, KY, James Groce, New York, Caleb Goce, Louisville, KY; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Ulysses "Champ" Black; two sisters: Lois Huff, Teresa Groce; two brothers: Chester Groce, Hunter Groce. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Brooks Funeral Home, Bro. Caleb Groce officiating. Interment will be at Cave City Cemetery, Cave City, KY.
