Alta "Sis" Russell

Alta "Sis" Russell, age 87, of Hardyville, KY, passed away at 3:00 AM CT (Approx.) Saturday, July 18, 2009, at her residence in Hardyville, KY. The Hart County native was born on June 4, 1922. She was a retired waitress, owner & operator of Pascal Mills. Ms. Russell was a member of Canmer Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Anderson Davis and the late Ada (Parrish) Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband: Patrick Hampton Russell. She is survived by One Daughter: Brenda Dudderar (Jim), Hardyville, KY; One Son: Charles "Chuck" Parrish (Peggy), Mount Washington, KY; & One Granddaughter: Yvette Larson (John); Stamford, CT. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Maxine Meadows & Alvine Davis; & two brothers: Willie & Kenneth Davis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pearl Webb Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM CT, Monday, July 20, 2009 and at Canmer Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to time of service Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 with Bro. David Brandon officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY.
