Alice (Brown) Taylor

Alice Anne Taylor, age 70, of Bonnieville, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at her residence in Bonnieville, KY. Alice was a homemaker until 1987 at which time the family relocated to Greenwood, MS where she was a part owner in a family businessselling used cars & trucks. In 1997, Alice and her husband moved to Bonnieville to help care for her mother and stepfather. She opened another part time business making arrangements with silk flowers and selling nic-nacs at the Bacon Creek Gift Shop. In time it evolved into the Bonnieville Game Room which she operated until 2010. She was the daughter of the late William Brown and the late Mary Elizabeth Brown Ragland and step father, James Ragland.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Taylor; one daughter, Sherri Lynn Ballard and husband Frank, Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Fred Allen Steinmetz, Bonnieville, KY, Stephen Paul Steinmetz, Bonnieville, KY; five grandchildren, Amie Nicole Steinmetz, Marranda Sue Steinmetz, Anderson James Paul Steinmetz, Matysen Marie steinmetz, Brayden Charles Steinmetz; three sister-in-laws, Jeanett Brown, Donna Brown, Pamela Brown; step brother, Glen Ragland, Bonnieville, KY; step sisters, Joyce Mann, Louisville, KY, Nadine Gibbs, Elizabethtown, KY, Mary Carroll, Debbie DeVore, Patsy Burba all of Bonnieville, KY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Lee Brown Sr, Robert Lee Brown, Michael Wayne Brown; step brother, Hershel Ragland; two step sisters, Belva Priddy, Jean Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 22, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2015. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2015. Interment will be at Memory Park Cemetery, Bonnieville, KY.
