Alice Sears

Alice Sears, age 91, of Glasgow, KY (Formerly of Cave City) passed away at 5:15 AM CST Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Glenview Nursing Home in Glasgow, KY. The Barren County native was born on June 21, 1916. She was a homemaker and a member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church in Cave City, KY. She was the daughter of the late George Taylor and the late Ella (Smith) Taylor. She is survived by One Step-Daughter: Davetta Crenshaw (Dewey) of Chicago, IL; One Step-Son: Paul H. Sears (Rozetta) of Horse Cave, KY; She is also survived by 10 Step-Grandchildren; 9 Step-Great-Grandchildren; & 12 Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren; One Sister-In-Law: Dorothy Smith of Paris, KY; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Hershel Sears; a daughter: Georgia Mae Smith; a sister: Ida Mae Smith; three brothers: John Thomas Smith; Taylor Smith; & Herbert Smith; a sister-in-law: Christine Smith. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY. The family will receive friends at Owens Chapel Baptist Church in Cave City, KY from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST Tuesday, November 6, 2007 and from 9:00 AM to service time Wednesday, November 7, 2007. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM CST Wednesday, November 7, 2007, with Rev. Eric Duke and Rev. Bradley Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Cave City, KY.
