Abner Bradley, age 77, of Hardyville, KY passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Hart County native was born on June 27, 1929 and a US Army World War II veteran. Mr. Bradley was a graduate of Kentucky State University & Western University with post graduate work completed at the University of Cincinnati. He was a retired Associate Director of 18 years with National Park Services; principal & teacher at Carter Dowling School in Munfordville; member of Woodsonville Baptist Church and the Munfordville Lions Club. He was the son of the late Ben Bradley and the late Mary (Best) Bradley. He is survived by his wife Edna (Wood) Bradley of Hardyville, KY; One Daughter: Gaynelle Bradley of Atlanta, GA; Two Sons: Daryl Bradley (Hortense) of Los Angeles, CA; & Randall Bradley of Atlanta, GA; One Sister: Sarah Thornton of Detroit, MI; One Brother: Benny Bradley (Sarah) of Hardyville, KY; He is also survived by four grandchildren: Byron, Derrick, Shalaya & Dana Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Birdie Reed, Grace Jackson, Iva Mae Forrest; & one brother: Franklin Bradley. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CDT Monday, June 25, 2007 and at Woodsonville Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM CDT Tuesday, June 26, 2007 with Rev. K. T. Ford and Rev. Ronnie Bryant officiating. Interment will be at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens in Munfordville, KY.
